The YES Academy (YES) is a community collaboration to provide an elementary school student summer enrichment program. The goals of YES are to provide a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment to support personal and educational growth. This development is accomplished  by engaging students with fresh lessons and activities in reading & reading comprehension, writing fundamentals & storytelling, mathematics & financial literacy, history & social studies, health/wellness & nutrition, physical education, and play, as well as furnishing exposure to the arts and providing opportunities for artistic expression.

 

YES also mentors children on becoming more self-aware, building community, problem-solving, and dispute resolution (peacemaking). The values which YES upholds are human dignity, respect, truth, humility, kindness, compassion, and generosity.  These values are reinforced through every aspect of the YES programming.
