We became acutely aware during the season of the pandemic that a significant number of school age children endure the pain and anxiety of food insecurity when schools are not in session. In the fall of 2020, our foundation began to raise money to provide grocery certificates to families in need at our partner school.

 

We have raised and will continue to raise funds to furnish the grocery certificates to these children and their families for Thanksgiving and winter break. We  have also come to know that some of the partner school support staff workers are struggling with food insecurity as well, so the fund raising/grocery certificate program has expanded to include members of the support staff to assist them through the holiday season.
